Egoista is the charming restaurant of Casino da Póvoa
Designed by the architect Miguel Esteves, the restaurant Egoísta is located on the second floor of the Casino, surrounded by its art gallery. The decoration, is thought in detail, becoming a reference especially for art lovers: works by Júlio Resende, Nikias Skapinakis, Rogério Ribeiro, José Manuel Ciria, Francisco Simões, Alberto Carneiro or Moita Macedo creating notes of a unique beauty.
The choice of the materials had also a strict criteria, with the purpose of making this an intimate space. Thus, to the combination of granite with wood, join to the ochres and warm colours and luxurious accessories, of the Sambonet and Christofle brands. But the Egoísta main focus is in gastronomy.
In a refinement and charm service, Chef Hermínio Costa proposes to taste a variety of flavours inspired by the traditional Portuguese cuisine, such as “cozido à portuguesa” (Portuguese stew made of boiled meat with vegetables) with all the ingredients of the dish, but reinvented in terms of image and texture.
