WINE
In 1898, Manuel Joaquim Pinto, based in Vila Nova de Gaia with wine warehouses of Porto, purchase several properties and vineyards of the Douro Superior, setting in Foz do Sabor his preparation activity, and transport of wine to Gaia.
A century later, his grandson and namesake returned to bet on Grandfather's dream and it was the same passion for the land and the wine that gave nectars DOC Douro of exception, under the marks "Quinta de Vila Maior", "Casa da Palmeira" and "Monte da Coelha".
Products / market brands: "Quinta de Vila Maior"; "Casa da Palmeira" ; "Reserva Monte da Coelha" and "Barqueiro".
Production varieties are "Touriga Nacional", "Touriga Franca", "Tinta Roriz", "Tinta Cão" and "Sousão".
