PR1 – Rota do Maroiço

Fafe
Description
The short trail “Maroiço Trail” (“PR” is the acronym for short trail) is a circular 22 Km long trail of medium/high difficulty. It starts and ends at the Queimadela Dam. It has several sites of interest, starting along the calm reservoir waters and continuing along the traditional shepherd’s paths, used in the "vezeira", where cattle used to graze in turns – “vez”, across the villages of Monte, Casal de Estime, Luílhas and Queimadela, along water courses and up to the top of Maroiço Mountain (847 metres high), where the view is stunning.
