The Porta do Sol, in a curtain wall of high dimensions, composed of a pointed arch, with an inscribed niche, is one of the entrances to Bairro do Castelo, on the south. Close to this gateway is an interesting house bearing a coat of arms that belonged to the Cistercian Order, which later became the Foundling Home.
