The Millinery Museum is housed in a former hatmaking factory. This museum is a tribute to the hatmaking industry, which is a traditional activity of great importance to São João da Madeira. The museum pretends to show the industrial aspects, and also the human, social and cultural elements of the community to whom the hatmaking activity used to have a very important role.
