“Meadinha” climbing area

In the “Peneda-Gerês”’s National Park, “Fraga da Meadinha” is the only wall which can be legally, orderly and safely climbed. Historically “Meadinha”’s climbing started in the twentieth century’s 40ies, when first national climbers opened some routes. Since then, there is a Galician and Portuguese Climbers movement, whom at different stages devoted themselves passionately to the old ways of retrofitting and new itineraries openings, forming a wall composed of 8 sectors with 59 climbing routes.
