Rio Minho's Ecopista is ranked as the 3rd best greenway award in Europe and was considered a path of excellence.
The Ecopista offers walks through vineyards, fields of cultivation, contacts with the Minho river, streams and views over a vast built heritage. Some viewpoints provide privileged views of the Minho River and the Veigas. The fisheries, the fluvial and unspoiled beaches, inserted in the Natura 2000 Network and a vast built heritage allow small complementary getaways to the ecopist. The Interpretation Center of the Ecopista, in the former Casa da Vigia in Valença, shows the fauna, the flora and the memories of the old railway line.
