The Bagaúste Dam is located in the river basin of the River Douro, between the riverbanks of the Lamego and Peso da Régua municipalities. The construction ended in 1973. It is 41 metres from the foundation, and the crest is 350 metres long. There is a lock of the Douro navigation canal on the left side of the dam.
